DESCRIPTION:March 9th – Special Birthday Edition – \nPaul Currie (IR) was born in County Antrim in North of Ireland and still lives & works in Belfast. He has carved a reputation for themselves since 2004 as an uncompromising alternative comedian\, street performer & avant garde clown artist in the UK\, Ireland\, Australia and around Europe building up a fan base with his unique style of genre breaking performance stand up. \nPaul came to prominence by winning The Big Tickle comedy festival NEW COMER AWARD in Derry City in 2005. \nPaul fuses traditional stand up with the energy and crowd work of his street performing background and utilising his performance art skills they developed while studying theatre for 3 years in Newtownabbey Tech. \nPaul has appeared on TV comedy show “LIVE AT THE ELECTRIC”. Their first solo performance show at Edinburgh fringe was in 2009\, Paul then returned in 2011 as part of Avalon’s prestigious “COMEDY ZONE” a showcase that launched names like The Mighty Boosh\, Stewart Lee\, Lee Evans\, Al Murray\, Russell Howard. \nPaul won the prestigious Edinburgh Fringe Comedians Choice award for BEST SHOW in 2018.
